Guardian Angels From the Akasha

The belief in guardian angels can be traced throughout antiquity. It has been held as far back as the pagan writings of Plutarch and evidence of their worship has been discovered in the monuments of the Babylonians and Assyrians. According to the New Testament, angels are the intermediaries between God and human beings and the first Christian theologian to outline a specific scheme for guardian angels was Honorius of Autun. He claimed that every soul was assigned a guardian angel the moment it was put into a body. Thomas Aquinas agreed with Honorius and also maintained that it was the lowest order of angels who served us as guardians. People who believe in guardian angels today, still tend to hold that we each have our own personal guardian who protects and guides us and 85 percent of Americans today believe that angels are heavenly messengers.

There are thousands of accounts from around the world of people’s experiences with their guardian angels, some of them include brief encounters, others involve saving lives or changing lives completely.

The Angels of Mons

The Angels of Mons is one of the most famous supernatural legends dating from the First World War, and remains one of the most famous accounts of angelic intervention. The battle of Mons took place on 23, August 1914 and only weeks later the story of the angels of Mons had entered the realms of public legend. By the end of the war it became most unpatriotic to doubt that the claims were based on fact.

The legend tells of a heavenly event which was allegedly observed by many soldiers, and also supposedly corroborated by German prisoners, during the opening of the battle at Mons in Belgium. Some observers are said to have described an army of angels armed with bows and arrows and led by a towering, winged figure on a shining white horse who spurred on English forces during an assault on German trenches. Another story speaks of three angelic beings seen by the British, hovering in the air over German lines.

On April 24th, 1915 an account was published in the British Spiritualist magazine telling of these visions that miraculously intervened to help the British at the decisive moment of the battle. Apparently thought, the only real evidence of visions from actual serving soldiers stated that they saw visions of phantom cavalrymen, not angels or bowmen, and this occurred during the retreat rather than at the Battle itself. Skeptics believe that the so called visions were hallucinations due to the fact that during the retreat many troops were exhausted and had not slept properly for days.

Aliens in Outer Space

There have been many reported sightings of angels but one of the most intriguing is the account made by Russian astronauts several years ago. In his book “Meetings With Angels,” Dr H.C. Moolenburgh relates the experience of three Russian astronauts - Vladimir Soloviev, Oleg Atkov and Leonid Kizim – aboard their spaceship Salyut 7. The three men claimed that they witnessed "celestial beings" on the 155th day aboard their orbiting space station. "What we saw were seven giant figures in the form of humans, but with wings and mist-like halos as in the classic depiction of angels." The heavenly visitors, they said, followed them for about 10 minutes and vanished as suddenly as they had appeared. However, 12 days later, Cosmonauts Svetlana Savitskaya, Igor Volk, and Vladimir Dzhanibevok, who had just joined the others on the space station, also saw the beings. "They were glowing," they reported. "We were truly overwhelmed. There was a great orange light, and through it, we could see the figures of seven angels. They were smiling as though they shared a glorious secret, but within a few minutes, they were gone, and we never saw them again."

How to Contact Your Guardian Angel

Even those who believe in the existence of angels admit that they only make a physical appearance on rare occasions. However, some say that there are other ways guardian angels can make their presence known. Robert Graham, in his article “Angle Talk: Are You Listening?,” published in the Psychic Journal, claims that we all have guardian angels that are willing to communicate with us, but that most of the time we are just too busy to listen. However, he explains that if we take the time to open ourselves to their communication, they can help us with our daily lives.

"If you want a clear and concise message from your angel," Graham says, "you must ask a direct question. Your angel will always answer your questions. You must ask your question out loud.” Graham claims that frivolous questions will only get you frivolous answers, and that your guardian angel will match your level of sincerity.
